About
Protection for every animal life
Pashu Jeev Raksha Foundation is a Section 8 not-for-profit company that rescues, treats and shelters street animals in Delhi NCR.
Why we exist
On every Indian street there is a dog someone feeds, a cow someone stops to touch, a bird someone leaves water for. Yet when one of them is hit by a car, falls sick or goes hungry, it usually waits alone. Kindness in India is everywhere. Organised care is not.
We exist to close that gap. We rescue, we treat, we shelter, and we bring the people who already care into one team.
Our name
पशु means animal. जीव means life. रक्षा means protection. Together: protection for every animal life.
Our mark
A heart holding a cow, a dog and a bird, cradled by one human hand. The cow for the animals India reveres, the dog for the animals that live beside us, the bird for wildlife and freedom. The hand is us, and you. The colours run from leaf green for life, through amber for warmth, to saffron for action.
How we work
- Shield. Rescue first, paperwork after.
- Heal. Proper veterinary care, with a record for every case.
- Together. Feeders, residents, vets and donors are partners.
- Open books. Every rupee and every case published, good months and hard ones.
- Every life. No animal turned away because of what it is.

See an injured animal?
Don't walk past.
